Youth Ministry Institute Training Program
Youth Ministry Institute is offered two times a year. In the Fall there is a training weekend for Youth Ministers and their adult volunteer team. This weekend format is an opportunity for youth ministry methodology, program planning, networking with various churches and personal prayer. In the Winter / Spring, there are three Saturday sessions offered at the Religious Education Office. These sessions are a repeat of the weekend training. Participants receive 18 hours of youth ministry methodology which counts toward catechist certification for the Archdiocese.
YMI Workshops
Workshops and Presentations include the following: A Vision of Youth Ministry, You as a Minister, Adolescent Development, Pastoral Care of Youth, Youth Ministry Planning, Evangelization of Youth, Developing Youth Leaders and Peer Ministers, Legal Consideration in Working with Youth, Liturgy and Worship, Ministry with Diverse Populations, Relational Ministry, and Moving from Service to Justice.
