Youth Ministry Methodology Certification |
Who: |
The professional Youth Minister and all adults involved in youth ministry |
What: |
Catechist Certification in Methodology for adults working with Middle School or High School youth.
The full course is made up of ten sessions: Vision of Youth Ministry, Adolescent Development, Legal Considerations, Developing Leadership, Youth Ministry Planning, Multi-Cultural Ministry, Moving from Service to Justice, Liturgy/Worship and Music, Relational Ministry and Evangelization.
ALL adults, paid or volunteer, working with Middle School or High School Youth should complete Basic Catechist Certification within the first two years of working in ministry. BCC consists of two components: Methodology and Theology.
(Certification in Theology can be taken through your parish or at advertised Archdiocesan classes.)
